Content Management Systems (CMS)

The purpose of a Content Management System (CMS) is to ensure that the content on your site can be easily and immediately updated on a regular basis to keep its content fresh and new and relevant. Who better to do that than you. Its your site, its your content, its your customers and potential customers you are wanting to please and advise. We can content manage your site for you should you require, but many of our clients have multiple site locations with various key stakeholders all of whom have an interest in the sites content.

Content Management System

What is CMS?

CMS is a fully functioning web application that easily facilitates control of the remote database holding the content of your web pages. The basic interface looks very like a form with pre-designed fields that you fill in and then submit to update a page on your site, it is very easy to use.

Do I need any special skills to use CMS

You don't need any special computer skills to keep your site fresh and engaging using CMS. We provide all the tuition you'll need to update your pages. However, if you have a little knowledge of HTML then you can truly take control of the content and therefore the performance of your site. We can provide extensive training in HTML markup language if you wish to learn more.

Security

CMS is strictly managed allowing only registered users access to the content database.

What's the best content?

While an offline business, such as a shop or restaurant, can impress its customers by setting up in a busy or prestigious location, you can't do that on the internet.

Online - content is king.  Offer your visitors fresh, high-quality information and they'll come back again and again.  It matters little if your product range or the services you offer change only rarely.  You still should offer your site visitors lots of great information.

If they buy widgets from you, talk about the state of the widget industry.  Highlight new or unexpected ways to use widgets.  Discuss widget use in other countries.  Tantalise them with talk of new widgets... you get the picture.

Business never stops, and your business website should not stop either.  Add fresh content at least once a week to keep your site in your visitors' and Google's mind.
